The Ladder
One path, from a first cast to running your own School Of Fish.
- Start free. First Time Fishing: one to one with a qualified coach, all tackle and bait provided, no cost.
- Learn the craft. Skills School fortnightly for juniors. Adult courses from Try It to Skills Plus, because adults deserve better than tagging along.
- The Diploma. Twenty-five criterion-referenced stamps in five awards, the most detailed angling learner scheme in Britain, with a published pass line for every one.
- Give back early. The Junior Assistant award from thirteen: help newer learners at sessions, always side by side with a qualified coach.
- Qualify. Angling Support Assistant at £135, Lead Angling Coach at £285: accredited, insured, licensed, and a community behind you afterwards.
- Teach the teachers. Level 3 Coach Educator: train and assess the next generation of coaches.
- Run your own. The whole system franchises.
The Standards
The ladder means something because the quality is written down and checked. Assessment runs to a published assessor guide with a not-yet default: a stamp is earned when the learner does the thing, not when a session ends. Every franchise operates to the Minimum Operating Standard: the session calendar, the people, the policies, and what happens when any of it slips. Safeguarding runs through a named Designated Safeguarding Lead, enhanced DBS checks and a policy suite most of the sector doesn't publish. Coaches hold an annual SOF licence with insurance verified, compliance dates tracked and renewals chased, and assessment quality is independently assured.
The Platform
Underneath the coaching sits tooling nobody else in British angling runs. Booking, records, awards and automated learner emails on Clubmate, so a stamp signed on the bank lands in the learner's account the same day.
